I took this one the trolley on the way to prom because I did my date's nails on the way to prom. Her dress was a blue ombre that faded to black at the bottom so my nails matched her dress, with a base of Spoiled Navy and Nina Ultra Pro Black sponged on with a tissue. Her nails were equally simple. I used a base of Revlon Nude and then used Milani FX Silver and Milani FX Gold to create an extra sparkly look, like my dress. (This picture was taken over our dresses, so you can see how they match.) Both looks had a coat of Seche Vite.

In a Galaxy Far, Far Away...
My take on the galaxy nail trend! I began with a base of Savvy Deja Blue. I used a tissue to sponge on colors to create each nebula. I used Nina Ultra Pro Like Butta, Ruby Kisses Neon Orange, Ruby Kisses Neon Green, and Sally Hansen Blue Me Away. I couldn't find my dotter tool and my nails were way too wet to go scouring my house for a toothpick so I thought a brush would be fine for dotting on the stars. I was wrong. I found the dots to be entirely too large (I used China Glaze White on White by the way). I topped it with Warpaint Beauty Glow Turq, which glows in the dark and is sparkly and super awesome. I finished off my design with Seche Vite.
Painterly
I'm not sure what to call this technique. I started with a base of Nina Ultra Pro Black then painted layers of color over top: Nina Ultra Pro Like Butta, Ulta Capri Coral, Ruby Kisses Neon Green, and Sally Purple. I finished with another coat of Nina Ultra Pro Black. I let this all dry then I took a paintbrush dipped in nail polish remover and brushed toward the tip of my nail repeatedly. After allowing the polish to corrode to my liking, I topped it off with Seche Vite.
