Come On Barbie Let's Go Party

Today I decided to go for Barbie themed nails. I have the oldstyle barbie cameo on my thumb, for which I used Nina Black and China Glaze White on White. I used China Glaze White on White for the base of my index finger and Revlon Pinkish to write the Barbie logo. On my ring finger I used a base of Spa Ritual Swept Away and again used the China Glaze White on White. My ring finger took the longest. I used a base of Sally Hansen Sheer Lilac Gloss and topped that with two coats of Ulta Pink Princess. While these polishes were still wet, I applied small pink gems (available at any craft store). My little finger has a base of Revlon Pinkish with details in China Glaze White on White. Each finger was topped with Seche Vite.

YingYang Twins

I've been really into kawaii right now. The pastels are almost creepy and eerie when placed next to the angry spirit of a lot of kawaii bloggers. I've been seeing a lot of ying yangs photoshopped on top of pastel pictures, so I decided to combine the two on my nails. The juxtaposition is lost a bit on my nails. I think I'll try a more extreme design next time I try kawaii. First I painted a black base, with Nina Ultra Pro in Black. In order of thumb to little finger, I used Orly Sky Blue, Revlon Gum Drop, Spa Ritual Swept Away, Spa Ritual Delight, and China Glaze White.

PS. Be weary of buying Revlon Gum Drop, I didn't notice the little red tag that reads: SCENTED WHEN DRY. Bad call. My hands smell like sugar...it's distracting.

PSS. Please enjoy me being a wannabe hipster with my ironic cross:

Lana del Rey Inspired Hair Tutorial

Hey guys! Here is another Lana del Rey inspired look, this time it's her hair. No hot rollers required! I first used a two inch barrel curling iron, then a 1" curling iron. The  hairspray I used is She's A Tease Volumizing Hairspray from Not Your Mother's.

Lana del Rey Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys, this is my first tutorial ever, I was inspired by the lovely Lana del Rey. She's a singer-songwriter with a great pinup girl kind of style. I made a hair tutorial based on her that I will be posting either later tonight or tomorrow.
